Hey, I’m Becca!

 

I’m thrilled you’re here! Let’s get to know each other a little better.

 

Born and raised in the vibrant city of Los Angeles, California, my upbringing instilled in me a deep appreciation for diverse cultures and a burning curiosity to explore the world. For the past decade, I was so caught up in trying to figure out how to live my dream life that I forgot to actually live it. I was trapped in a cycle of mere existence, shaped by limiting identities I didn’t even realize were holding me back.

 

I came to this realization in what I can only describe as a third life crisis, a wake-up call that changed everything, and convinced my husband to completely uproot our lives, move across the country to a city where we knew no one, so that we could start living as opposed to merely just existing. Judgements be damned – I’m too old to care what people think anyway.

 

I married my favorite human, Matt, in 2015 and he’s the driving force in all that I do. He’s the behind-the-scenes guy and his fingerprints are all over this blog. We first moved to Colorado in 2016, soaking up the adventure for five years before returning to L.A. However, it didn’t take long to realize that California no longer felt like home. Now, we’ve settled in North Carolina, relishing the thrill of starting anew, exploring fresh locales, making new friends, and embracing new experiences. Our fur baby, Pennylane, has been our joy for 12 years, and now, we’re over the moon to be expecting our first child. This exciting news confirmed that uprooting our lives was the right choice.

 

This blog is the culmination of my passions, born from a moment of rediscovery. It’s my heart and soul, a testament to following my dreams rather than others' expectations. It’s going to be an exhilarating adventure, and I’m so glad you’re along for the ride!
